Seeing as I am one of the ''people who care about fashion brands'', I honestly think if I like somthing, or I perfer somthing namebrand, for whichever my personal reasonings are, it's okay. It's my money, and how superficial it make seem to buy items because of a label on them, shouldn't concern me . It's a personal choice, and it goes both ways. For example, if you feel more comfortable buying items that are not "name brand", who am I to rag on you for it? It's simply personal choice, and personal opinion.

Well, the fact that it's "personal choice" doesn't necessarily make it okay. Buying something because it's a big-name brand is not excusable if it's made in a sweatshop somewhere and shipped halfway around the world. Personal choices affect a lot more than one person.
I think the human brain has specialized in imitation, because better imitators were able to quickly learn the best ways of making tools, finding food, etc. Now, out of our evolutionary context, we just imitate whatever the heck we like. The more people we see doing something, the more we feel inclined to do it ourselves, which is why advertisers appeal to the idea that "everybody's doing it."

I myself like brands.. but then again, i go for the cute things too, and the cheaper the better. Most people like wearing brand clothing like abercrombie hollister ae d&g bebe and other big brands. They do it to show that they have expensive and nice taste, and that they think that they are cooler and fit in better. personally, i do it for the reason that most of those clothes are ADORABLE. but others dont

People wear brands because:
- they want to fit in
- it's a status symbol
- they want to wear the clothes/shoes their favorite celebrity wears
- they like the type of attitude the brand symbolizes
- the quality of the product is great
