Like someone already said, y = mx + b is the standard form for a line. The m is the slope of the line and the b is the y-intercept. So, you have to solve for y first and then it is easy to see what the m and b are.
1)subtract 3x from both sides
-y = -3x -5
to get rid of the negative sign in front of the y (you don't want it there usually) multiply everything by -1.
y = 3x +5
m = 3 b = 5
2)subtract 4x from both sides
2y = -4x + 6
to get the y by itself divide everything by 2.
y = -2x +3
m = -2 b = 3
3)subtract 25x from both sides
-5y = -25x + 30
divide everything by -5.
y = 5x - 6
m = 5 b = -6
4)subtract x from both sides
6y = -x + 12
divide by 6.
y = -(1/6)x + 2
There is a one coefficient in front of the x-term so when you divide -one by six you get -one sixth.
Try to get enough sleep the night before so you don't fall asleep again. And here's really good tip I got from someone, when you have a test the next day, don't stay up really late trying to study. It will help you more to sleep than to stay up half the night. So to be able to do that, pay attention in class and keep up with the homework and other stuff so you won't have to study quite as hard right before the test.

3x - y = -5
-y = -5 - 3x
y = 5 + 3x
y = 3x + 5
Slope is 3 and Y-intercept is 5 as it is in the Intercept form of equation Y = Mx + C passing through Origin.
4 x + 2y = 6
2y = 6- 4x
y = 6/2 - 4x / 2
y = 3 - 2x
y = -2 x + 3
slope is - 2 and Y-intercept is 3
25 x - 5 y = 30
-5 y = 30 - 25x
y = 30/ -5 - 25 x / -5
y = -6 +5x
y = 5x - 6
Slope is 5 and Y-Intercept is = -6
x + 6 y = 12
6 y = 12 - x
y = 12 / 6 - x / 6
y = - x/6 +2
Slope = - 1/6 and Y-Intercept = 2

Just solve the equations for y, then the slope will be the the co-efficient of x, and the y intercept will be the constant number on the right side of the equation. I'll solve 1) for you, then let you do the rest.
3x-y=-5
-y=-3x-5 (Moved the x term to the right side of the equation).
y=3x+5 (Divided both sides by -1).
In this case the slope of the line is 3, or 3/1. And the y-intercept is 5.

1) 3x - y = -5 subtract 3x from each side
-y=-3x-5 multiply by -1
y=3x+5
slope=3 y-int=5
2 )4x + 2y = 6 subtract 4x
2y=-4x+6 divide by 2
y=-2x+3
slope=-2 y-int=3
3 )25x - 5y = 30 subtract 25x
-5y=-25x+30 divide by -5
y=5x-6
slope=5 y-int=-6
4 )x + 6y = 12 subtract x
6y=-x+12 divide by 6
y=-(1/6)x+2
slope=-1/6 y-int=2

You have received great answers here. The following is the general equation for a straight line:
y = mx + b where m is the slope of the line and b is the y intercept. If you plan a career in engineering wake up and learn these and other essential mathematical equations that govern our universe.

to answer these your gonna want to take the equation you have which is mx-y=b and change it to y=mx+b
example using your 1st problem:
3x-y=-5
first get the y on one side by its self by ading five to both sides and adding y to both sides so you get
3x+5=y
or
y=3x+5
your 3 is the m or slope and the 5 is b or the y intercept
good luck
