debra used to be my friend..... until i made one tiny mistake and she blew up in my face. suddenly i'm not her friend anymore and even though i have apologized several times she refuses to be my friend. we have been best friends for 3 years. the mistake wasn't enough to erase that. or at least that's what i thought. all i did was tease my cousin. and it didn't bug my cousin at all.why is debra blowing this out of proportion? why won't she be my friend?

Maybe it was a tiny mistake to you, but if she's acting like this, I believe that it must be more than just a tiny mistake. I think you really hurt her, and just saying two words isn't enough for her. You need to comfort her and do anything to get the friendship since you guys have been friends for so long.

It sounds like Debra is being the "typical" girl. Overally sensitive and very dramatic. In this situation, you were the "bigger" person. From what you explained, you absolutely did NOTHING to have her be that angry at you. Even though you are very hurt by her reaction, stop apologizing to her. Act like it doesn't even bother you anymore, and socialize with another friend. Right now, she is enjoying the attention you are giving her by apologizing so much. Still be nice to her, of course. If she still doesn't "snap out of it", she really wasn't your "best friend" to begin with. Give it a try :)

I understand where you are coming from. Sometimes people just get tired of the behaviour and call it "quits" no matter how good the friendship is. They just don't "forgive". People care "grudges" sometimes their whole life.
I had a friend who just walke dout of my life and no matter how many apologies i sent or how many telephone calls I made to his answering machine....he was not going to forgive me for leaving him stand in the lobby for 10 minutes one day 6 years ago.I don't see him any more and sometimes wonder "why" the severe cut -off, but that was him summimg up the situatio incorrectly and that's it for me.
I am more careful now about what I do if I see someone a little dissatifies with my behaviour. I cool it knowing they will not like it.
Be a little more careful about wha tyou do with your friends the next time.

Okay, first of all. I would advise that you get yourself another friend....one that doesn't worry about the silly things...If you have gone above and beyond to be her friend and apologized for the tiny mistake and she doesn't want to forgive or forget, then a new friend is in order. Maybe if you don't appear so desperate, then maybe she'll get the hint! Good luck with that....

Well, I've been int he same situation. Maybe she just hasn't got over it. Just give her, her time, and ignore her. I know it sound s crazy, but my friend and me used to always in fights over something stupid! You just leave them alone, I know you want to talk to her ALL THE TIME,so you could be friends again. She doing this for attention, :-). But everyone does that, ;-). Just wait, and she'll forgive you!!
Good Luck!!! :-)

Friendship come from from heart. She will become your friend when she will realise her mistake. Till that time you keep your friendship alive.

Some people just aren't forgiving. You have done everything you could so just move on. It's her loss.
