I am the primary care taker of my two kids. Daughter age 10 is diabetic type 1 insuline dependente. and boy age 1.5. Since I work from home, I take care of them daily. My wife just drop the daughter to school. Everything else I do until she comes home around 7:00 pm. If we divorce will that be taken into consideration to get custody of the kids?

Majority of time children are placed with their mother after divorce. Where I live wife has to either agree to this or be found as an unfit parent. I know how hard it is for a father to give up custody from a personal experience but maybe your wife will agree to this if you do seek divorce. I would suggest that you sit down with your wive and discuss what would happen to the children and be in their best interest if any was to happen and your marriage fail.

hello,
well 95%of the time the children go to the mother or but not always who can provide a better enviornment fo them to live....but it really depends on the judge and how they are feeling that day....where if she abandoned her children with you then i would have to say that you get them no matter what....but most mothers won't leave their children behind...and if they can talk for their self they will send in a mediator and they will decide for your children who would be the better care taker and what the oldest child says does affect alot of the decision....so it really depends on how the children feel and what the judge says .....it is up to the courts and most men get the grunt of the deal....and even if the mother is unfit then the children still suffer with the mother because the judge wants to be an a** so it could go either way and more and more men are getting custody of their children so there is alot of hope for you...just pray on it and good luck with it i will be praying for you...you could also work out where you have them 1 week and then she the next week that is what my brother does with his x so good luck.....

If there is no issue between the wife and husband why don't you share equal custody? I have friends that have the children every other week for the full week! Why do you want a custody battle? Just share custody!

It will help, but it won't be the only consideration. Good luck to you
