Do Briggs and Straten Engine Parts interchange with Honda? Which is better for a go-cart, 8.0 Hp B&S, or a 5.5 HP Honda?
Which parts are cheeper? Are Carbs interchangable with different Engines? Building a go-cart with my kids would like any help possible?

both good motors. you can shave the head and increase compression. get off-set key to advance timing. pull the plug, use 1/2 inch drill to spin motor. cut fins down on flywheel with a hack-saw to lighten it up. cut them down no more than 1/2.

The B&S will give more speed. And, at least in the states, B&S parts are much cheaper than Honda. The engine parts themselves will not interchange between brands.
Usually companies that sell perfomance carbs have adapter plates or manifolds to allow fitting to different engines.

how much power do u want? the bigger motor will always give more power and speed. both are good engines. carbs are interchangeable if you have a adapter plate to be able to bolt the different one on. best to stick with same carb unless you know what your doing
