I do, it's my brother, it's so sad, we don't know how to bring him out.

I know a lot of people who are Gay and in the closet. It truly is sad to think that society will not accept someone becuase of their sexual preference, or gender expression.

Be supportive and understanding.

He will come out in time, it is good to show acceptance during the process and show him it is natural and good.

Little DVDs with good plots, such as: In and Out, broke back mountain and some other good books shows acceptance but should never be given as a gift, just lie and watch them yourself and let him notice them.

A closet is a safe place to be, you suffer no pain from abuse there, it took me many years to come out,,,, and sometimes I find myself almost at the door of going back in it... (but I refuse to)

I also have a dream, a dream of marginally social acceptance from society and family.

Seems he has the support of his family.... show him support and love and understanding, there are so many hate crimes in the world. (being out, might be a scary place for him, there are discrimination involved and etc..)

In time, but with support, you might also suggest going to counseling with him. Then after a couple of sessions let him go it alone and let him explore his own feelings.

I know a bunch of closeted people. I was in the closet myself once and it was hard in there. Alot of negative thinking.

My first husband was closet. We were friends after the divorce and I knew he was much happier being free and out of the closet.

i do to and it IS so sad. he'll come out when he's ready. meanwhile stay supportive, watch positive gay movies with him. maybe he'll hurry it up if he's comortable that you all won't harshly judge him.

As a Christian, I can't say that it's right. I would have no problem with gay marriage if it didn't say that it was wrong in the Bible. But it does. So sorry. No hard feelings?

well if he's told you he is out
if he has not told you then do not go around putting down gays and he will tell you when he is ready if you push he'll back track
