Go count the $200 tennis shoes walking in the door! Then ask them how many own a TV with cable! That will give you an accurate assessment!

OK i am from california, and let me tell you the welfare in kern county is absoloutly nuts, now i am not racist however the only background they had were mexicans my mom had went in there and shes white of course and was trying to get on welfare and disability because she had breast cancer and something else was wrong they turned her down and told her there was nothing wrong with her my mom couldnt walk or anything her ankles swelled up and than this guy that came into the office had only one leg and again they were rude to him and told him he can go back to work my mom and this guy both noticed a nice cadilliac pulling into the office and the girl got out dressed so nice and her children got out and she walked in and was out in 10 minutes and from what they heard it was her just letting them know that there income hasnt changed there are way to many mexicans taking over the system out here and when people actually do need it they cant be on it. My mom and her kids are all full grown and she has never used the system until we were 17 and 16 and they turned her down and you know something they didnt have a reason to and it pissed me off. so to all those who do use the systems and you know which one i am talking about if you cant feed them dont breed them.

the vast majority of advantage taken is by the middle/upper class folks involved. doctors by far scam more money from medicaid/medicare than the patients can hope to. section 8 programs pay rent to middle class landlords, propping up high rental rates and enriching the middle class with tax dollars. what happened in iraq is 'welfare' in the billions and swamps any 'fraud' the poor may commit - 8 billion dollars of our tax payer money is unaccounted for in Iraq - plus, we paid halliburton $45/six pack of coke in iraq!!!! That's abuse of taxpayer welfare.

My father was one of 14 children in a family with a saintly, down-trodden mom and an evil, abusive dad. My father would not have survived his childhood were it not for welfare. He went on to serve 22 years in the Navy, and several of his siblings went on to become millionaires. They've all more than repaid what the state provided, plus they became productive citizens because of the welfare. Their father deserved nothing, but the innocent children did deserve food, medical care, shelter.
