Time is a man made construct, to describe ageing of man and animals, seasons, cycles of the moon, rotations of the Earth, etc...
It seems real because we see the affects, but animals, and bugs are affected differently then humans. Have you ever heard of dog years? I think it is the fruit fly that only lives for about 24 hours. While tortoises out live humans. Think of it like currency... Each country has/had, (the Euro) its own currency. We could amalgamate all currencies into one, like what is basically done with time. We don't, (generally) compare other things in a different time frame then ours, but it could be done, (going back to dog years), which is; one of our years equals 7 of theirs.
Time is a way of explaining a part of our world, through patterns within our Universe.
Einstein also proved that time is irrelavent, and although it is highly impropable, it is possible for time travel.

It depends on how you think of "time". How humans perceive time is, a believe, something of an illusion. I do not think time is as linear as the majority of people would have us believe. But we can see the past, so we know it has existed, there time cannot be whollay illusion either. For most of us, time is real and must be treated as such. With a select few, they have found the way to dive into the river of time and seek and know is secrets, but most of us with never do that. Therefore the illusion of time becomes, in effect, reality for the majority of world and must be treated as such.

Time is something that has been created. If you exisit in a creation, or that creation is part of your existance, then it is reality. If your existance or perception is outside of the creation, then the creation is an illusion.

time is an illusion. we only experience the present moment. when we think of the past we are accessing memories at the present. and when we think of the future, we are accesssing future thoughts at the present.

ever heard of the "myth of time" google it! it is interesting and suggests that time is a man made notion. that we really have all the time in the world, but we inhibit ourselves by busy schedules and fast paced lifestyles.
a good notion but not completely coherent, time is our need for the measurement of decay.
