I think mostly it is because here, we have a voice and someone is bound to hear us, no matter how crazy it may sound...like the guy with the pregnant wife who was doing the roofing and he thought she was being lazy (or something to that effect). Some of us do not get enough e-mail and this venue allows us to receive that e-mail;the crazier the question, the more responses (especial if it has to do with race). So we aren't necessarily looking for the answer, we just need someone to talk to and though it is in the format of questioner to respondent, at least SOMEONE is paying attention to us. :)

It is well to consider that a good many questions asked here, are by no means crazy, though some certainly are!
Things like
Is the sky blue because it is not green?
Is it okay to go on dates after not bathing for a week?
Can you use carpet cleaner for shampoo?
And things of the sort. Sometimes I think the people asking questions like these have had about three pints too many!
