You can be seen by a gynecologist and follow whatever recommendations they have. There are medicines you can take ... the most common strategy to regulate periods is birth control pills, but that's out if you're trying to conceive.

If you're into alternative medicine, there are supplements you can take to help things out. Try a daily multivitamin, a B-complex tablet, flaxseed oil capsules, and an herb called Chaste Tree Berry or Vitex (scientific name Agnus Castus). Just make sure to consult a licensed herbalist before you start. If you can't find one in your area there are lots online that will answer questions like that.

there are several ways to regulate your periods, however making them regular is not necessary to get pregnant. Buy a digital thermometer, around $5 to $8. Keep it right beside your bed, within arms reach. First thing in the morning after you open your eyes, take your temp, don't get out from under the covers, don't sit up, don't get out of bed, stay just as you are and take your temp. It usually only takes a minute. Write down on a calendar what your temp is every morning from the first day of your next period, to the first day of your period after that. You should see a pattern, your temp after your period should be between 97.0 and 97.9, if your temp spikes into the 98 range for several days, you're ovulating. Usually the first day your temp spikes is when it's the best to get pregnant, good luck, this worked for me and I didn't have to spend a ton on dr bills.

I was very irregular as well, so they put me on birth control... only I became preggo while on the pill- had been on it for 5 yrs. It is possible for you to still get preggo with an irregular period. To help regulate it some, try not to get stressed out at all, get plenty of rest and exercise and eat well. Goodluck!

That might not have anything to do with you getting pregnant. It makes it harder to plan but I have a cousin with totally irregular periods and she got pregnant easily and had 4 kids. Her cycle was so irregular she was usually almost 12 weeks pregnant before she found out with each child. Good luck!

I had the same problem. I went to an herbal remedy site on-line. There are natural remedies that will help regulate your period. A few months later I got pregnant. Look for things that will help amenorrhea (lack of menstral cycle).
