Some people say dress as you would dress if you had the job.

It never hurts to wear a skirt and top and maybe a jacket if it is a job that you would want to appear a little professional-looking for.

Last week the show, Inside Edition, had a piece on about dressing appropriately for work. A consultant said people these days don't know how to dress appropriately and show up in mini-skirts or with cleavage showing. Don't do either of those things.

If the job is one that would require a professional appearance any basic pair of dress shoes (no ribbons around the ankles or sparkles) that match a handbag would be good.

If the job is a really casual one a nice pair of pants and nice top would be good. A jacket over them is fine if it looks good. A casual skirt and top with more casual shoes is ok too.

You want to look professional. Always wear a suit with skirt, blouse and jacket. Wear heels (polished!) Manicured fingernails (clear polish only!). A tasteful purse, nothing gaudy or tacky.

Shake hands and make eye contact with the person that will interview you. Look professional, no matter what type of job for which you will interview. Make sure your resume does not have typographical errors. If you have a morning appointment, eat a good breakfast before the interview.

A few days before the interview write a list of questions that you would like answered regarding the job and the duties required for the position. Even if you already know the answers to your "questions," it shows interest.

When the interview is finished thank him or her for meeting with you and say, The position sounds interesting, I'm very interested, please keep me in mind.

It depends on the job you are applying for. A skirt and blouse is always a good choice. If you dont own a skirt, a good pair of pants. Do NOT wear jeans. If you have a nice jacket or blazer wear that. or a pretty sweater set. Make sure the outfit fits you and is neat and clean. Do not wear flip flops or sandles if you can avoid it. If you are applying for a professional job, the more business like the better.

Wear a nice pair of dress pants but make sure they are not tight. You can match it up with a nice button up shirt and a great pair of closed toe shoes, but not heels if they are over 2 inches. Don't weat sparkles (make-up) because it is so tacky in an interview. Make sure to have your clothes ironed or pressed and don't overdo accesories, in this case less is more. Good luck!

This is such an open ended question you have not provided:
1. which company is conducting the interview?
2. which position you are applying for?
3. your build i.e petite, plus

Without knowing the answers to 1-3 I can only say wear a dark suit with your favorite colored shirt, comfortable shoes, be yourself and good luck!!

Dress business casual. Wear something that you are comfortable in. I'm comfortable in a neutral colored pant with a cute sweater or a button down. In my opionion you should wear something that shows your personality. Professional doesn't mean that you have to wear black or grey.
