Part of the 'tragedy of the commons' is that it results in an 'every-man-for-himself' attitude, with each person taking however much they want from the environment, without regard for anyone else, because there is no overriding government or structure to prevent that.

This sounds very critical and must take much thought. I will go drink a beer, oops, I mean Beverage and think on this. If, I not back in 10 minutes then you will know I died trying to help you.
I have survived! After much deep thought I have came to the conclusion your question has answered one example. I think it better to have people think for me, then I not have to think. The first answer sounds good and I give a thumbs up to her. After 10 Beverages I now feel hungry and will eat donuts and drink milk and lay on the couch and watch TV until I sleep. Hope this helps.
