They can't play sports, they can't throw, they're weak, they cry over little things, they're wimps, they only care about how they look, they aren't good at science, they're slow, they can't throw... Those are some. (None of which I agree with.)

gender stereotypes are nothing less than ignorance in action. women were relegated to the home as a direct result of anti-woman attitudes of the judeo-christian ideas put forth by the catholic churches' stance of male superiority, female inferiority due to the original position of equality within the apostolic message of the early church beginnings. men, feeling threatened by women's knowledge and abilities, relegated them to a lesser status and to consolidate their own power structure. all stereotypical nuances, real or imagined, whether gender or race or any other base, is a product of false premises put forth by men to enhance their own status, and is just as applicable to men.

women can't drive, but that isn't so much a stereotype as a fact.....oh I forgt Danica Patrick who weighs much less than all the drivers yet has failed to win a race, but hey when the world is about 50/50 men and women, coming in 4th at the very best in a race is quite an accomplishment for women.
