I have green eyes... just wondering what color eyeshadow would best suit my eye color. I have tried the almay color combo eyeshadow for green eyes, it has a plum, medium green and light green, and it seriously makes you look like a clown lol....

Plum is good for green eyes. Peach, gold and copper look nice too. But the best advice I have for you is to pick out the color of the highlights - you know, the different-colored spokes - in your eyes, and match your eyeshadow to that. It brings out the detail in your iris and is guaranteed to harmonize.

A blue eyeshadow with green eyes would look amazing! I have a greenish brownish color eye and light mineral colors are the only thing that suits me. Once I tried a dark brown, plum color and I looked terrible! Try going for light colors! Bye.

I have hazel/green eyes and I find that a light and sparkly gray (not the dark kind, but the kind that's more sheer) looks GREAT. It makes my eyes look even more green. Try experimenting with all different colors one day (get one of those palettes with tons of colors, or just lots of inexpensive eyeshadows), and see which you like best. A light gold might also look pretty, and brings a sparkle to your eyes. Make sure to get some of those makeup removing towelettes, so you could easily take of the eyeshadow when you experiment. :o)

I have green eyes and I use Cover Girl Shimmering Sands its a trio...its amazing!!! I absolutely love it. I use a little brown eyeliner on the top lid then put the middle shade (tanish) all over then the darkest brown on the bottom half of my lid then highlight under my brow with the lightest one. Then 2 coats of mascara and Im good to go, seriously its amazing!

stick with the plum shades...just more muted....bc those almay ones are super bright! use a dark green eyeliner, deep plum in the crease of your eye, a lighter muted plum for the coverage... and a light gold to highlight your brow bone. let me know if you have anymore questions. i sell mary kay makeup and its amazing.

what about light limish green. (not neon, though), or bronze. I think you can find out by looking at the color wheel and the opposite from you eye color is what colors would look good for you. (the colors don't have to be right across but just around there) God bless!

It is really tough to answer that without knowing other things, such as your skin tone.

The other answers are good, but you can spend a fortune on makeup trying to get the right combo for you.
Get in touch with a make-up specialist, like Mary Kay or Beauty Control (google them) and ask them to help you select colors for skin tone. (They will usually provide you with samples, so when you get the sample colors that work for you, take them to a store and try to match the color in a less expensive make-up)

I am not trying to diminish the companies like Mary Kay...They make great products, but not every one can afford them.

I went to a dept store to get help with a foundation color, and after I got the color right, I took it to WalMart and matched it to a neutrogena brand that works really well for me at about 1/3 the price.

I suggest a smokey brown or a gold tone. That will give your emeralds something that stands out. Contrast is good but don't go for the plum look again.

if you have green eyes, DON'T wear green eyeshadow.
i suggest:
steel grays
golden browns
and if you want a little green in there, go for that one dark greenish-gray color.
i have green eyes too, and i always get compliments on my eyeshadow :)
good luck!

the best way to pick out eye colour is by using colour theory! the complimentery colours!
Green - red (red tones)
Blue - Orange (peach and what not)
Purple - Yellow
Brown - LUCKY you!!!!!! you really can wear any colour!! they go with everything!

Make up in general is all personal preference!! if your eyes are blue and you want to rock the Purple Haze shadow? you go !!! if you are going to wear make up.. wear it like you mean it and be confident! its all about you! love it!!!
