There are 450 NBA players (broken down into 15 players for each of the 30 teams).
As the NBA has done away with the injured reserve, each team has 15 players that are eligible to play in every game. However, teams must inform the NBA of the 12 active players they will be fielding in an hour before tip off.
Lastly, the minimum number of players that must dress for a game is 8.
