No I did not know. It bothers me when no one says anything about the negative music being played on the airways, the increasing divorce rates and some of the filth on television, but as soon as someone wants to give glory to Christ there is a problem!!!!

I think though they are going to take it a bit too far... I'm trying to find the papers website again but I read somewhere that they are going to encourage the use of many different holiday greeting, ie. Happy Kwanzaa, Happy Hanukkah, and Feliz Navidad.

If they do, use the other greeting that is, it'll just be another political firestorm to add to the one they got for taking it Merry Christmas away. It's still them trying to look politically correct (can you see the sneer on my face?)

It's about time - even if it "offends" some people.

My wife works at Sears and they have Merry Christmas all over the place.

I think the the other retail outlets will eventually find that most customers are offended not by Merry Christmas - but by the absence of it.

I hate to say this because I think it should be Merry Christmas. However I think the reason is more because they have decided to give a percentage of their profits on the day after Thanksgiving to gay rights. They have gotten bashed pretty badly for that. A lot of people won't be shopping on that day at walmart but I'm sure they will still make plenty of money.

i haven't heard but i hope they do. I really hate the saying "happy holidays." It specifically says on the calendar for december 25th is christmas day. So why not say "Merry Christmas."

Yes I seen it and I totally agree. Christmas is Christmas if someone has a problem with it then they need to just get over it. It should not be treated like a dirty word.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Yes, and did you ever think you would see the day when that became an issue in America?
