i have a abt 12 blood Parrot in my 5 foot tank...with good filtrating system...but my tank water get yellowish within 1 week after i change to fresh water. why is this so??/ how to keep the water clear always??? Any tips???

well i dont have any drift wood in my tank, but planning to lay some in soon...is it adviceable?? and abt the carbon..where do i lay them?? will the fish shop know if i just ask them for carbon??

If it's not driftwood, then the only other thing I can think of is the pellets or food you're feeding them. Maybe you want to try change another brand.

Driftwood will make the water yellowish brown. It also lowers pH. You can add carbon to your filtration system, it will "polish" the water and make it crystal clear. I'd keep up with the weekly water changes for the health of your fish.

Do you have any driftwood in the tank? The tanins in driftwood will turn water yellow.

try a diatomic filters. Thatpetplace .com has good ones

use "YUCK GUARD" works great. or try using carbon or something like that as a median.
