If you're trying to administer a suppository and the recipient is clenching his/her cheeks how do you make it so they relax themselves?

Its difficult until they get used to it. the fetal position is best and it help to make it more of a game. it should be something that you are doing together rather then to him or her.

you cant make them relax but if you draw their knees up to their chest , curl them up in a fetal position it makes it harder for them to clench tight. presumably this is for a preschool age child. if not then its gonna take at least 2 people to do it . my 4 yr old needed them and let me warn you they are masters of squirming , clenching and pushing it right back out. oh and remove their shoes first- hubby got a great looking black eye because we didnt .
