Since yesterday my boyfriend has had this pressure or sharp pain at his temples, he takes ibuprofen and it slacks off but it doesn't go away. This morning he had a bad nose bleed. And every time he gets the pressure or sharp pain he says that he feels really hot like he's burning up. And that he's been a little dizzy. He says that the dizziness comes and goes. Have you ever heard of this or experienced something like this? Do you know what this is?

Thanks for your answers. And please no "go to the doctor" answers he's going to go to one.

Several things could be happening. For one he could have High Blood Pressure, and taking too many pain medications thins the blood, therefore causing "dizziness". The pain in his temples are caused by the same reason, I am quite sure, High Blood Pressure. Just because he is young - that makes no difference. It could be in the family DNA.. He could have an over amount of stress in his life, at present. Not sleeping well, not eating properly, many small things that add up to the big picture. Have him, when he see his doctor, do a cholesterol test also. This condition, if it is also high, can cause "dizziness". The reason, the dizziness comes and goes, it depends if he has been sitting a long time, and stands up or his blood pressure peeks and he is light headed. He is in bad need of an "overhaul" - Good Luck, and don't worry - just tell him not to drive if he is getting dizzy often. I would not want him to kill himself or some innocent victim.

It sounds like high blood pressure. The bloody nose is a was the body relieves some of the pressure. He should really see a doctor. He could could cut down on the sodium intake as well. If he is stressed or has a hot temper, he should try to calm down and not let things up set him so much. Stress can manifest itself in the body in so many different ways. You can really become ill.

Take esgypyrin(yellow colored tablet looks like gems) 2 per day for 3 days.

1) Better ask him to do an exercise in yoga, pranayanam i.e; close right nostril with the right thumb, inhale through the left nostril. and exhale through right nostril by closing the left nostril with the right ring finger. Repeat the same with the left hand to breathin through the right nostril.
2) The other one is ask him to squat if possible in padmasan or else normally , close him eyes, put the index and the thumb fingers of both the hands as if you hold a pen,(but no pen is there!!) and breathe slowly. Put both the hands on the keens. This really reduces the headache related problems
