Well, my darling, she just might be one of those people (such as this furry little mammal is) that uses a lot of phrases on other people. Nothing wrong with it, old bean. Everything's fine, sweetness.

Well, if you were helping her, then she was appreciative of your help. Saying "love" might mean that she admires you helping her in that situation. If she kept calling you that name and was flirting and batting her eyelashes and twisting hair around her finger, then you might expect that it is out of something else other than friendlness.

used to have a friend who called me "m'love" and I was freaked out at first. I did like her, and I know she reciprocated, so she ended up asking me out. I declined out of fear of judgment from the whole school. Plus, I didn't want to ruin a friendship. To this day, I wish I would have taken her up on her offer just to see what would have happened. But, I know that things work out certain ways for reasons and I am happy with the paths of life I adventure on.

You really didn't want to hear my story though did you? :P I suppose I overthought your question. I sincerely hope you are able to understand that she more than likely was just using a figure of speech though. I call people "hun, cupcake, sweety, etc..." and I try to draw the line at work. It's just a habit though, and people don't realize when/how to shut off the habits sometimes.

In the city of Baltimore, MD it is common to hear someone call another "Hon". It's just a form of speech that is used there as is the word "Sugar" in the south.
I use these same words and several others and mean nothing by them. They are better to use then; "Hey! You." or other forms that are a bit bland.

I think that certain cultues use "my love" as a waitress might say "sweetie" or other "nice things" to show affection. I think that's it, nothing more.

If she had said she wanted you be be "my love" then you may have an admirer.

Don't sweat it.

Might not mean anything--I call people "honey" a lot but don't mean anything by it--just kind of a reflex.

She also might have said it to be funny.

You take things to seriously. My best friend calls everyone love and even I've been known to do it from time to time, I seriously doubt it means anything.

it's just a term of endearment. it probably means nothing. it's the same thing as somebody saying, sweetie, honey, and other things.

it probably has nothing at all to do with what you are thinking. it is merely an expression. hey, man, doesn't make a teenager a man, male, but not man
