I am a former model for Belks clothing, John Robert Powers and have done a few other pieces for misc. companies. Recently, I have pursued a dream of mine to be drawn in the nude, and it has made me want to get back into modeling. I'm not so sure of the steps to take from here, but I am looking to eventually become a full time muse. I live only about 10 miles from a very well known artistic college. Do I call them and talk to them...or what do I do? I've had 15 people so far ask me to model for them. I like the rush that it gives me...and everything else about it. I am very serious about this and would only like serious answers, please.

What do I do from here?

Thanks.

You should contact the school and see if there are any jobs available. They pay OK, but usually professionals don't have to pay someone to pose for a painting. If your willing to pose for a photographer, there can be really good money in that. I'm not talking magazine shoots or anything... just artistic nudes. I only did that once about five years ago but I made about 130 dollars for two hours of posing and he let me have prints of some of the best shots.

I would go to the college and find the art department and find a life drawing/painting class and ask the professor. Usually they use models that they meet randomly or they have used for years. Introduce yourself and chances are they will need people in case a model cancels at the last minute.

Just call colleges that have good art programs and leave a message for the instructor of life drawing that you are a model and will pose undraped. They are always looking for people.

I didn't know this section of Y.A! existed, maybe I should have searched this out sooner. Hello, my Nick name is Artist Eye aka Dig it of the Rainbow Gatherings. I was a model when I was in my twenties. I believe you should ride the coaster as long as you can. I also believe we should all go as far as we can and have a deffinate dream at the end, (that we can live). No matter what LIVE YOUR DREAM!!!!!
