I just did an ovulation calander to predict my most fertile dates. It gave me two days in the month and would you believe as hard as weve been trying these are the only two dates we missed. However, we had sex around these dates. Does sperm live for 48 hours and therefore may i have still fallen pregnant? Very consfusing!

Hello -- Please forget the calender. I can tell you how you can
get pregnant. You and your husband should go out and get
the ovulation kit. It tests your urine every day and when your
urine turns blue then you can get pregnant and have a baby.
Believe me, it's really worked for me. I have 3 kids to prove
it. You see I had a hard time getting pregnant too.

those days are just the most likely. dont worry. it is still possible. if not this month you always have next month. if you are really concerned, in addition to the ovulation monitor you can take your temperature every morning before you get out of bed. after your period your body temp will be a specific number. once you ovulate, your body temperature increases 1/2 a degree. then you can know for sure you have ovulated and can try. and egg lives for 24 hours after ovulation, and sperm lives for about 48 to 72 hours. hope this helps. best of luck!

Ovulation is NOT the only time you can get pregnant; it is simply your most fertile time. You can get pregnant at any time during the month, including while on your period. Sperm have very short lives, but that doesn't really matter. Keep having sex regularly and good things will hopefully come to follow!

You can still become pregnant at any time during your cycle, but of course your chances are greater at ovulation. The chances of pregnancy are greater the 3-5 days before ovulation, as well as the day of (of course!) and the day after.
