The US has many different genres because there are lots of different venues for it. With the dawn of the internet and the evolution of TV and Radio, people don't have to rely on one station to bring them music, bands can promote themselves easily and new genres and sub-genres evolve from there. But this has happened all over the world, not just in the US. Plus, new generations think of music as an increasingly important aspect of their lives and that fosters and intrest in both civillian and corperate organizations.

Well, basically because the U.S. is made up of many different cultures, ethnicities, and religions. Mostly everyone, except the Native Americans, have immigrated here, and have brought a piece of their ancestry from their country. That is why it's called the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

The United States has "free speech". As there are so many different cultures in the US, there are many different types of music.
Money is what drives everything in the US, so if people will buy something, comapnies will make it; there are so many types of music because there are so many types of people that will pay to listen to their favortie type.

Because there are all types of people here that like a variety of music like Rock,country, christian, hip hop, classic rock, heavy metal, rap, and we all have the freedom to listen to what ever music we want to.

i think because of the multicultural diversity you have. Added to that is the strong entertainment industry you have plus the advertising agency that also adds to the clamour.... this is jusst my opinion..... America is a strong country... and everybody look up to them as a model nation.... so.... thats it!!!
