It really makes me mad when i open explorer and i cannot navigate to any other sites b/c my favorites, address bar, etc are not there.

Actually, I have fixed the problem, I had installed IE7 optimized for Yahoo!. Once I got rid of that, all was back to normal.

There is a button called Tools with an arrow pointing down on the right hand side of the page, click that then click the menu bar option to get your menu bar back.

the address bar should always be there. I haven't been able to turn it off yet ...

if you are not seeing any of the bars, try right-clicking on the top area and turn on "links" -- this should enable your shortcuts/links

you can also press the Alt key and this will bring back the menus - from there go to Views and turn on the bars you need
