I just posted about someone I know with cancer. He is dying and still very young. The stuff I live for (drinking, sex, money, football) is probably not that important. I feel like a little pussy ***** sayin that but it's just weird to think about. What would change in your life?

I would try to help all the people around me understand that dying is a part of life but not the end. I would try to let all the people know how much they mean to me and I would try to say see ya later as my last words. I've lost a lot of people so I try to love all my friends and family like they could be gone tomorrow and I don't sweat the small stuff.

If a person has his/her priorities right in life maybe knowing one was going to die wouldn't make a whole lot of difference.

Often, though, people who are very young and who don't tend to think much about dying get a sudden and horrible kick in the head when someone young dies, and it changes how they see life for the rest of their time on Earth. They suddenly become aware that youth doesn't guarantee invincibility, and somehow life may not seem like quite the joke it once had.

. I don't understand English well, but I think we born to dye more early or more late.
. Dye young is very sad. Is very important if your friend agree the life don't end here - Is a nonsense all the Universe and its wonderful and all ended in nothing.
. In the " other side ", certanly the life to be continue and the medical related with the passage the persons with go back of the other side ( the tunnel, etc.) - See in Google any site about state of almost die.
. I expect this situation is a great mistake and your friend survival a lot of years.
. Excuse my English but I'm learning it.

We are all actually dyeing every minute. This life is temporary and tottering like a drop of water on a lotus leaf. Anything could happen to us at any moment. If one doesn't know what their real purpose is in life and who they really are (I mean actual spiritual identity) then they are no more advanced than an animal. Animals eat, sleep ,mate and defend. Humans also do that but the human form of life is meant to realize our true indent and our eternal relationship with our Maker. For higher universal truths go to http://www.stephen-knapp.com There is a wealth of information there you could even become enlightened by going to this site. take advantage of it and peace will be yours (no fear of birth death old age and disease)

Good question, I have thought about this a lot. I would reprioritize my life and put the relationships I have before all else. I would spend time with the people I love most and try to share meaningful experiences and memories with them. I would make sure they know how much I have appreciated having them in my life. I would travel and do everything I always told myself I would do someday.

We are all dying as we read this. We just don't know when—perhaps sooner than your friend. Are we living the way we want to live knowing that our death is around some corner. This is a philosophical answer and not a religious one. We all owe life one death.

Yes, I am. Everyone is dying, every moment we draw a step closer to the end of this life.

I try to remember this daily, and to avoid things which I do not value, or which "waste" precious time. Please try to keep this thought in the back of your mind - there are so many things we let ouselves get dragged into that really aren't worth it.

Peace to all,

;-)
