I've matured for a while. I looked like I was 18 or 19 when I was 14...(I'm 15 now..)..I've been shaving since I was 11.. now..I've been wondering when will acne stop, lets say, "attacking" and "breaking out"? It's driving me crazy on how other people at school have NO acne what-so-ever, yet...I clean my face alot and develop it like crazy. Maybe it's just a growing cycle? Does anyone know when it will end in age?

I don't feel like ordering proactive, neither..

I use the brands "purpose", and "clearasil."

It is different for everyone.

My borther had bad acne until he was 28, mine stopped at 17.

I have found some things that help, give them a try.....

1.) Wash your face once a day; use warm water first to open the pores, then soap. Then use warm water to rinse, then cold water to close the pores to prevent dirt and oil from entering

2.) Wash you pillowcase at least 3 times a week; them bastards explode while you are sleeping, believe it or not, and when you roll all over them, you are making more pop up.

3.) Find a great method of stress relief--anyone with acne issues will tell you that the less stressed they are, the less they break out.

Hope this helps, and keep ya head up; it goes away eventually. :)

I never had acne in high school and was so thankful. Now I am 40 years old and guess what? I am fighting acne! I have to use the store brand of Proactive, (Acne-Free, available at Wal-Mart) everyday to fight it. Maybe you could try it. Those people will probably pay for their clean faces later in life so it's either now or later. If it gets really bad and starts leaving scars, talk to your parents about a visit to the Dermo and check into Accutane, it works miracles! Good-luck!

Dude, believe me, I had really bad acne when i was about 16 to 17 years old. Dont bother with that over the counter crap, all it does is irritate your skin. Dont bother with proactive either. It is expensive, but go to a dermatologist and have him prescribe you some really strong acne cream or oral medication (azelex, differin, clyndimicin) or a combination of both. These medications may cost a lot, but believe me, within two to three weeks, your face will start clearing up.
