It's not dangerous to do, but it's relatively painful for ear piercings. It's thicker than the cartilege of the outer ear and in a tight location, so it requires a bit of extra skill on the part of the piercer. Also, it's affected by day to day life differently than most ear piercings...particularly when using the phone.
There are no exceptional hazards involved with having the tragus pierced. It will tend to stay tender for a period of time on the long end of the scale compared to other ear and cartilege piercings due to the relative thickness. Also, if it's done too close to the edge, they can migrate out easier then most.
The after care is pretty much the same as any other ear/cartilege piercing. Never use alcohol of peroxide. Minimize irritant exposure (hairspray, leave-in conditioners, phone use, etc.) soak in sea salt twice daily to remove any of the crusties that form during healing...the usual.

Gonna definitely follow this one just to find out what a tragus is, and others tragus interactions. Whatever it is, it's a reject in "Check Spelling".

i'll go upstairs and look it up.O K its the flap on your external ear that covers the opening when you push on it. I expected something gross . It's probably the same as a normal pierce.

it has no nerve endings but the cartilage is thicker compared the the earlobe. But like with any piercings, there are risks.
Never had it, nor willing to.

i'm pretty good with pain, so it didnt hurt me that much but it did bleed. it is quick though. just make sure they use new needles and clean their equipment and you should be fine. and make sure you clean it twice a day. sea salt and warm water has worked the best for me.
