If you gained 30 lbs, I'd say you are going to have an average size baby. Your belly is probably literally all baby. Don't stress over it, I was small with my first baby too. He weighed 8lbs 2 oz.

By now an ultrasound can pinpoint an exact age of the baby. So my guess would be not that the date is off, but that you are carrying the baby in a certain way that your body isn't showing. I am only 4ft8 (like those dwarfs on tv but normal lookin) and both times I was pregnant I was sticking out wider than I was tall for the last 3 months at least! But that was just me. Your body is different than any other womans and you may carry your babys in a particular way that it doesn't show that obvious. Maybe the last weeks or so as the baby finds his position and begins to drop you will start to show like a basketball...who knows? Good luck!!!!!

30 pounds is good. I didnt get really big either. It is fine. You probably will have a small baby. Your baby gains half an ounce a day after 23 weeks gestation. So your baby should be between 5 and 6 pounds right now. Congradulations on your pregnancy and carrying full term...

I think that you are fine, I mean, if you have gained 30 pounds, that is a very good amount of weight to gain for a pregnancy. If your due date was off, your doctor would tell you. So if you have been going to your prenatal visits and your doctor is not concerned, you shouldnt be either. Being skinny to begin with is also going to make you appear smaller than you are. Good luck!

I would say that you're very normal! Don't stress! If your doctor though that there was a problem, they'd definitely let you know. Some women just have smaller bellies, especially if you started out thin. I wouldn't worry about it. Guaranteed you're going to have a very normal sized baby! Ask your doctor about it at your next visit to calm your mind. Congratulations!!!!

I am 5'10" and with my first daughter I weighed 145lbs when I got pregnant. I was too thin and underweight. I never really showed, it just looked like I finally started putting on weight. When I told my boss that I was pregnant at 6 months, she didn't believe that I was that far along. I started ballooning out a little around 8.5 months but still never had to wear maternity clothes. But my daughter was 6lbs. 15 oz. and she was late. It's going to be different with everyone, so don't worry.

Congratulations, it is common to be small, if the doctor isn't worried about your size then there is nothing to worry about, I am 5'9 and weighed only 45kg before pregnant, I put on 14kg at full term, I was sent for many ultrasounds as they thought my baby would be tiny, he was 6lb 12oz. My daughter was stressed to me she was only going to be 5lb if I'm lucky she was 6lb 5.5oz at 36 weeks.
I wouldn't worry to much as your body is doing what its meant to, as long as you are putting weight on each week and not loosing it you shouldn't worry. Your baby will be the right size. Everyone carries differently and your baby is getting everything it needs as long as you are healthy and gaining then don't stress.
Best wishes.

Some people hardly knew my mom was pregnant. She has a titled uterus and so do I. I'm 18 weeks pregnant and barely showing and I kind of expect that I won't be showing too much for awhile. My preggo friends are all mad at me because they are ballooning out and I'm still pretty small.

Your doctor would have said something if there was a reason to be concerned. Best of luck with the birth of your new baby. Enjoy him/her. They are only that small once.

What does your doctor say? He/she is the one measuring your uterus and could tell you for sure. You can't tell much from looking at the size of a belly, so I wouldn't worry about what people who aren't your doctor say. If your doctor hasn't mentioned anything to you, you're probably fine.
