I have been sitting here for a couple hours now and I feel my baby. This is my first pregnancy and the first time I have felt anything. Now for the experienced people, does it feel like a little butterfly flapping its wings in your belly? Because if it feels like that I am feeling my baby. I will be 17 weeks on Wednesday. Just curious if this is what its suppose to feel like. Thanks. :)

Congratulations, Its very possible as it can feel different for everyone, some feel like butterfly's and others more like bubbles, for a first baby its unusual to feel it as early as 17 weeks more around that time if its a second or third pregnancy. Normally for a first pregnancy you start to feel these feelings at 20 weeks, but it sounds like that's the baby moving, best wishes and congratulations, hope it all goes well, very soon it will get harder.

Yup! That's it! Isn't it the GREATEST feeling EVER????? I used to lie awake for hours after going to bed just waiting to feel the teeniest little thing. I also used to describe it as feeling like there were teeny bubbles popping. It'll only get better from here, too. Every day, those little flutters will get stronger and stronger, and then you'll actually feel things like arms and legs moving around, and you'll feel the baby hiccuping. And WAIT until you can actually SEE the movements. It's so cool!

Congratulations! What a lovely feeling for you. I am a tiny bit jealous as I am 17 weeks and still waiting to feel that first movement. Hopefully any day now!!

Congratulations! It's a wonderful feeling, isn't it!? That is one thing I really miss sometimes. It's weird that even after I delivered my son, I felt like I could still feel him inside of me! I can't wait for my next pregnancy. Life is a miracle!

Congratulations, you are feeling your baby. It felt like butterflies to me also. I wished that everyone else could feel it then, but they couldn't. Pretty soon you can let others feel though.

Good on you. I'm knackered my baby won't shut up. Enjoy your pregnancy. Apparently it does feel like butterflies in your tummy.

Yes, that's what it feels like. Kind of like fluttery wings or bubbles.
It's the most exciting thing when you feel it for the first time.

Good luck and enjoy the rest of your pregnancy :-)
