The other sections are still okay I guess, but I like this one the best and since the election is over, the name calling and slandering isnt even clever anymore. I cant wait for the next Presidential election.

I like your spirit you had to have been one of the daughters of the revolution in a past life. yes its calm now with just a few rock throwers chuckin pebbles from the bottom of the pile. both sides now are either resting back on their laurels or licking their wounds, but i do see a great battle ahead and I'm glad you will be in the same corner i am when we shoot for the whitehouse in 08.

A "regular" on these boards answered another question, earlier this evening, in part saying, "And I dont know the answer, and I dont know why no one else does". I found that answer to be quite poignant. It made me reflect on the reasons I have felt so disappointed with politics in general for several years now...that being, the sense of hopelessness when we, as a people, look to our government for leadership - and find none.
Some of the best ideas, for progress, for change, don't always come from the people who we assume will have them. Maybe some of the best ideas will come from places just like this one. There are certainly enough thinking contributors here. I would hope that all of the nonsense associated with coming to a public forum (like the trolls and the reporting abusers) will be dealt with in a way that does not discourage the continued outpouring of valuable opinions and ideas. As long as that happens, I don't think we will ever be truly bored. I am optimistic.

I agree. We could take some Y!A non-partisan action to stop the cloning and abusive reporting.
I have had a few e-mails about this, and I recommend we who are tired of the trolls post on the forum.
EDIT: Laugh now. I have been e-mailed by moderates, several conservatives, and some unknown. Maybe because the abuse is happening to everyone with high levels, regardless of party.
