My baby is 7 months and he's still a little flat; my doc says it's from laying on their back and that it's normal. For constipation, my doctor recommended glycerin suppositories (half of the pediatric kind); thermometer induction (with lots of water-based jelly) and he also gave me permission to give him diluted pear juice and pour one or two 'baby' spoonfuls into his formula. All those things worked like a charm for my baby. Also, when you start giving him cereal, you might try oatmeal. Talk to your doctor, though, every baby is different and you should follow his pediatrician's instructions.

People have so many opinions on this, it's not even funny! My son's head was flat in the back until he was more than 6 months old, and his head is perfectly round now. The doctors looked at it and recommended a pediatric physical therapist, but by the time my insurance found one and I got an appointment, it was so much better, we didn't do anything about it. His head just reshaped itself with time.
But there are some things that can cause or result from flat heads that go beyond the cosmetic. It wouldn't hurt to ask your doctor, but I don't think they would do much for him until he was older anyway. They'll probably start talking to you about sleep positioners and giving him lots of tummy time. But not really do anything about it until they know he won't outgrow it. My cousin's son is 2 and he still has a flat spot on the side of his head. She doesn't care, because her doctor doesn't, but it does look a little weird once you notice it. If you're really worried, look at the sleep positioners. They helped us a little.
As for the constipation, it kind of depends on whether your using formula or breast milk. If your nursing, you can eat stuff with more fiber in it, and that will pass to your son and help him. I know some people recommend small amounts of water, but you should talk to your doctor first. We used sugar water after 6 months. Before that, we used dark karo syrup, very diluted in warm water, in a bottle. That had moderate success. Usually a warm bath was the most successful, but time was the best remedy.
Or you could do what my crazy mother in law tried on my son- shoving ivory soap up his butt with a nasal aspirator. Her version of a home-made enema. It SO did not work, and just tensed him up so much that he couldn't relax to poop...
Good luck!

Use 1/2 juice 1/2 water for the constipation. Pear is the mildest.
The Dr told us that the scull doesn't harden up until 12 months. So you technically have until then to get the scull unflattened. We spotted the flat spot on my daughter at 2 months and were never able to completely get rid of the flat spot. Daycare wasn't being diligent about not letting her lay on the flat spot. They have a tendency to want to lay on the flat spot because the head easily rolls that way. You will have to pay attention and try to keep their head rolled onto the non-flat side when they are sleeping.

My baby's head was pretty flat but it started rounding out when he started sitting (5 months). He's 7 months old now and you can't even tell. You could put him in one of those activity centers that he can stand in if he's big enough. That way you wouldn't have to hold him so much.

Your baby probably lays on that side the most. Don't worry about it too much. Try to give her more tummy time and less time in the car seat or swing or what ever you put her in. Feed her fruit like applesauce or prunes from the jar for constipation, she is old enough

well i dont know if its ok, but i know that when i was a baby my mom would ut her hands on my hand and make sure that it was normal (like form it gently with her hands so that it is perfect) and now i have a cute normal head haha, so you should try that, but i suggest that you go to a doctor before you do anything so that you dont hurt your kid, and about the constipated thing...well i dont really know anything about that lol
