If I put wet clothes outside in a winter day...they freeze, but eventually they dry. Why?

Moisture darlin. Just because they freeze (the molecules get closer together) doesn't mean that water molecules won't come off due to...well I forgot the name of it...but I'm pointing you in the right direction.

Hi. The ice will eventually sublimate into vapor.
