If you want to do make-up only you do not need a cosmetologists license. You can take classes to become a licensed aesthetician which focuses on skin care and make-up application and takes around 4 months depending on your state laws. Practice on everyone you can get a hold of and take good clear color pictures to make a portfolio.

in spite of the reality that it is not any longer mandatory, you ought to flow to a makeup and ask your self college and study some makeup. it extremely is possibly a robust step on your resume. yet another extremely stable theory is to flow on YouTube and look at movies and tutorials. Make notes of a number of the talents (many people have suggested that Enkore makeup is a makeup guru and teaches lots.. even nevertheless he's a guy..and does makeup on himself). Then, attempt according to risk commencing your person makeup channel of YouTube and get the feedback from the generic public and according to risk from an occasional professional makeup artist. once you're slightly older, you could stick to for a role advertising makeup (according to risk at Sephora or MAC) after which you will get a top on the interior international of elegance and additionally you gets a extra effective theory. you ought to be attentive to your product till now you employ it. :)

First, you could go to Macys*, Nordstrom, Ulta or a mall and become an artist there. If you want a larger career, I would graduate in a college, get a resume and go to the Burbank studios and apply there. They require a resume or a degree, so start small with department stores then a bigger job. College is the answer!

I would go to a store that sells make up, like MAC or Sephora or any other big make up and cosmetic stores like those and talk to someone who works there...ask what they did. But heres a tip from Mariah Carey's make up artist, Kris...he told me once, when I asked how he got started, he said he never went to school for it, but that he just began doing make up for anyone and everyone and eventually he became noticed by others and worked his way up to doing make up for MC.
