Fun wow! Been there, doing that. Get some HRT that works for you. Exercise. Watch your diet. Your thyroid goes amuck. I chose not to take the synthroid and really watched my diet. Silly as it sounds, for the sleep problem, I took/take 2 benadryl before I hit the sack. Read and read! There are lots of good articles on the net addressing this. I was lucky, I didn't get hit till I was 55, but then I also had a baby in my forties.....so go figure. Good luck!!!!

I am now using a cream made of Mexican Yams. Health food stores have it.

What I hated the most were the "Butcher Knife" attacks. I would suddenly want to KILL anything nearby for no apparent reason!! But I am over that now. Sixty years old.

It took about 4 years to do all the stuff, and I am now still using the cream. Three weeks I rub a dab into the skin, and one week off. I did a year of the hormone replacement stuff with my doctor's orders, but then deicided to try natural remedy. Like it better. My doc is happy with it so I guess I am fine.

Yep....I haven't got the sweating thing goin on yet...thank goodness...but messed up everything else....and it is a downer! My moods are the worst, from wanting to slap someone to crying....it sucks! I remember when I used to laugh at people for crying watching tv shows and commercials....now I do it! It's not fair.....we have the periods forever....give birth to children and raise them.....the sore boobs.....and then you end up with this crap! Well, I guess the next thing we can look forward to is the senior citizen discounts! Wooo-peee!

well, you really hit the nail on the head!!! get ready for about 10 yrs. of that, sorry to say, oh, just wait till you start putting the butter in the cabinets.lol ive noticed that eating sugar , like candy or cakes really brings out the symptoms!! so try to lay off the sweets, i put a small electric fan (clip on) on my headboard of my bed, that is my life saver!! try not to use the hormones, they are not good, & get on thyroid meds asap!! good luck to you, i started at 37, im 46 now 1 more yr. i hope!!
