Please don't put cereal in your babies bottle, their stomachs can't digest that. Babies should be formula fed or breast fed only for the first 6 months. Research it and/or talk to your pediatrician to see whats best for you and your daughter.
Try to start a routine now if possible. Keep her up a little longer during the day by playing with her and stimulating her. Try a nice soothing bath before bed and a bottle to follow. Try not to put her down to early especially if she is still feeding every three hours. If she goes down at 8 she will be up at 11 which isn't bad because then she can feed at 11 and be back down by 11:30 and may sleep a good 3 - 4 hours. Also are you breast feeding? Breast fed babies need fed more often than bottle fed babies. Be realistic also, new babies tend to get up every 2-4 hours for several months, mine was up like that until almost a year. If your tired try laying down when you put her down or soon after. Don't rush it, the first year passes you by so fast. You'll soon be longing for those middle of the night feedings, it's such a time for bonding, soon she won't want to snuggle up with you. She'll be independent and want to go go go. Enjoy your precious little gift! It's one year of a messed up sleep schedule and a lifetime of joy, worth the sacrifice don't you think? :)

I have a son who is ten mos but was born three mos early, so he's really seven mos early..the best thing that I found out after he came home from the hospital was if he took a 4oz bottle he'd sleep for two hours and get up if he took a 6oz bottle he'd sleep for three hours, he now takes a 9oz bottle and sleeps all night long. He's out by 10pm and up at 6am - some people say give the baby some food before bed, but you don't want to do that until the baby is ready for eatting baby food...Don't worry it'll get better and she'll be sleeping thru the night and you too will be sleeping thru the night as well....

She's still so young, she won't sleep through the night yet. Be sure she feeds more often during the day, and maybe that will help her sleep more at night. Day is for eating, night is for sleeping. I would not let 3-4hrs pass without a feed. Whatever anyone says, DO NOT GIVE HER CEREAL IN A BOTTLE or at all. She's much too young and she's a preemie so her digestive system is more sensitive. Just be patient, and she will soon be out of that pattern. Best of Luck.

All babies are different and there is no one trick. I found that both my babies slept better on their belly's. I KNOW THEY SAY NOT TOO!!! But I didn't flip them till they could move their little heads real well from side to side. Also try feeding her last two bottles before bed a little closer in time. Cereal is a little early, but if she has good tongue conrol you could try that.
Good luck! I have a 2 1/2 year old and a 5 month old. My two year old was a GREAT sleeper. My 5 month old still wakes sometimes! It is rough, but it will get better!

DON'T put cereal in her bottle unless the doctor ok's this. (They won't unless she also has gastro reflux). If you adjust her chronological age (two months) to match her gestational age, she is only two weeks old! Her digestive system is still immature and her tummy is really small. My son was five weeks early. I can sympathize. It's important that you don't try to do anything like let her cry it out, especially at such an early age. Your daughter is trying to make up for lost time. It's very important that you let her eat as much as she needs to at this point. It's tough, I know. But, soon enough she'll sleep three hours at at a time, then four, five....etc. etc. My son is not yet four months and is now sleeping happily through the night.

My son was 6 weeks early and he did the same things. He woke up every 2 hours for the first year of his life and then still didnt sleep right after that. It was crazy. My oldest 2 boys always slept through the night or only woke up every 3 or 4 hours. My early son was definitley harder when it came to sleep time.

My baby was preemie, too. He began sleeping through the night @ 6 1/2 months old. A two month old rarely sleeps all the way through. My baby would wake up 2-3 hours on the clock. Sometimes I would finish his feeding and burping (one to one and a half hours' worth), finally set him down, rest my head on the pillow 1/2 hour and he would wake up again. It's hard work the first months!

when my daughter was a month and a half she started sleeping through the night about 7 hours.. i just started trying to keep her up more during the day.. like taking her out and about for a couple days, then at night when i'd notice she was really sleepy, i would just feed her about two ounces mre then she usually eats.. because the only reason why she would wake up every couple hours was because she was hungry... good luck and be patient.. and by the way i wouldnt give her any cereal until u talk to her doctor.. everyone told me to give my baby cereal and when i asked her doctor her said to wait about a month cause she wasnt ready yet.. weight, how much they eat, all factors.. good luck!

hey... Your little angel is still young, they are yet to know when is day and night. but reassure that most baby when they are about goimg 3 months they are able to sleep a bit longer.
What I can advise you is that, when is approaching sleeping time, dont play much with your baby,
Dim your room's light
sing baby's song to your baby.
I always do that to my little angel till now( she is 22 month now) LOL!!!
You may visit this website www.babycentre.com. They are really good!!!!

the trick I used for my baby boy who was 5 1/2 weeks early was wrapping him tightly in a receiving blanket to sleep. I did it from day one, wrapped him like they do in the hospital (in the nicu after they aren't on any lights, when their skin can be covered). my son slept like that until he was 6 months old (and figured out how to wiggle out) and still sleeps very well at night :) I HIGHLY recommend it!
