sure let's keep people in their own countries starting with the USA I'm sure all the first nations people would love that, they would finally get their land back, and they would see the last of the europeans who have tried killing them off in the most barbaric ways, they might be able to forget the horrors of residential schools and being treated like crap all these years..Ohhh don't get me started....read the book Bury my Heart atWounded Knee by Dee Brown just for a little glimpse into what I am talking about

No. There would be no America if that was the way things were. North America is what it is because of Europeans from different countries looking for new land and settling here. This place would be just Native Americans (and they wouldn't have made such a mess of America). Most people I know are a mix of heritages, very few are say %100 German and living in the US. People are a mix. I myself am English, Dutch, Welsh, Irish, and German. I'm a mutt. My point is that not only can we tolerate each others' cultural differences, but it is quite possible to respect, learn from, teach, help, support, like, love, and even procreate with each other. We can, and do, enjoy each other, and our differences. It is not the geography that needs to change, it is our hearts and the value we place on human lives. Whether they be our next door neighbor our a half a world away, we have got to start to at least TOLERATE, if not appreciate, what makes all unique. I realize what a hippie this makes me sound like (lol), but I have always believed in and tried to see the good in people. We all bleed red, we all feel pain. I know I won't live to see the kind of world I dream of, and it will most likely get worse on this earth before (and if) it gets better. But I have love, and I have hope, and that's what keeps me going when the ugliness of this world becomes too much.

Make love, not war! (haha- I had to say it)

I think it's a bit hypocritical to think that way.

Europe developed via the riches of the colonies.

And now, when the wheel is turning you want to forbid people from doing what you did yourself in the past... hmmm...

But personally, I think that would be a great idea.

Countries like the UK and the US should pursue isolationist policies, and have all the US citizens stay in the US, eating only US produce, everyone driving gas guzzling monsters until oil runs out... All the UK citizens stay in the UK, forget about tropical fruits and holidays in the sun...

That would leave the rest of the world to develop together and mingle and exchange ideas freely.

I am quite sure there would be less arguments too.

I don't think that's the issue , it's allot deeper than that. the problem is that we as people, and being of the same race that being the human race, we haven't learned tolerance, and acceptance, a thirst to know some-one that may be slightly different in the respect of what a person may look like, or how they worship,or work they do for a living. Even the country they live in we're all in this together and we all one the same things in life. If we sit down and truly listen and HEARD the next person their would be no need to separate and hate and wars. we might just find out through our differences we still have the same fears , concerns for our children and worries, interest and yea will even have the same dislikes, but I'll bet we have more things in common then different. So I we all look and sounded alike and through the same way ate the same foods. that's a pretty blend way to live think of all the different things and types people we all have met, different types food religions, we would have missed out on some great writers, thinkers. great scientific minds performers, music. so i hope that tells you why i stand on subject. My answer is NO. We lack basic respect for our differences. It's wonderful to see all the those things in others. VIA LA DIFFERENCES WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF THE TRUE AMERCIAN SAID THAT . the Indians

No.

If you took that argument far back enough, we'd all be swinging about in trees in Ethiopia still.

Or scratching about in the cold earth of the Russian steppes.

Or ignorant of the mathematical advancements of the Persians.

We'd be without the Dutch Masters, the Enlightenment, the strange scientific discoveries that the New Zealanders & Scots brought to the world. There would be only a pocket of the world where you could find sushi, drink Champagne, see Shakespearean drama, listen to a symphony.

Although there would probably be no global warming or rampant species extinction...

Tough call in light of the whole.

The planet would be better, but we wouldn't.

i think ur question is very basic so im goin to give u a very basic answer, if every1 did that then u'd still have arguments, it mite even be worse cuz each country wud show segregation from the next, there wud be no aliances, more countries wud be at war with others cuz it knows its not killing its own ppl. as none of their ppl wud be alowed there, so u'd see more ppl like hitler and sadam tryin to force a country into war with it. on a lighter note it will make more ppl arrogant to change, diversify and treat ppl equally. In other words it would create more racism than already exists in this world, atleast with free movement you can see that all races do their bit for their country, whether they are 1st generation countrymen and women or lived in that country for years, good n bad exists in each country, not just in a particular race or nationality.

No body owns a land in this world, even if you buy a property and the extra land around it, don't mean you will take that piece of land with you when you die. It's the same as saying no one owns the world it's self. So what's the point of that? and why live in one place/country when you can travel all over the world!

No.
And how would you seperate everyone? There are far too many races now, infact even going back hundreds of years.
There was never a "native" Britain, we are all made up from people who travelled here from Europe, Africa, Native America..... So if we had all stayed in our own country, from when time began, there would be no British people!!!

No, I do not think people should need to stay in their country.

Some people aren't happy in their of origin.

There are many reasons people might want to migrate:

•economic reasons (to seek a better life somewhere else, to escape poverty)
•political reasons (to escape dictatorship, oppression)
•social reasons (maybe you just don't like the culture in your country)

Most Americans would not be here today if their ancestors had not migrated here.

I believe in free and open migration for all countries.
Freedom of mobility and migration should be one of the basic human rights afforded to all human beings.

Any change is for the better, no one should stay in one place, because change brings in challenges, new knowledge, new views, personal growth, and respect for differences. If we stay in one place life becomes monotonous and brain activity can be low, every thing would become a reflex and not an effort. change is for the good, life has to flow, stangnant water is always impure, while flowing rivers are fresh and vibrant! What do you think now......!!
