This is something a lot of people had struggle with. You use your index finger's nail, press the upper cover part (located on the top part of the phone) this way you move away of the phone. Ladies be careful with the nails, especially when removing the actual battery, it can be tricky. But again follow the same procedure for the cover and the battery as well. Consult your owner's manual, if not go to your nearest authorized store and get assistance: remember that there are sensible parts on this area that can get permanently damaged. :o)

There are three things you should check on your phone. I am very familiar with the Sprint version, but these should work for all models. Make sure the exterior display isn't constantly on. If that's the case, then try this: Settings-> Displasy->Backlight Control-> Change it to 10, 30, or 50 seconds Also try: Settings->Roaming->Set Mode->Sprint Only(Or which ever carrier) This will set your phone to search for Sprint Towers only. Sprint has contracts with other companies to use their towers, so this shouldn't hurt your coverage at all. I am willing to bet that the other major carriers do the same. It just keeps the phone from wasting batterry. Settings->Location->OK-> Turn location off. This also won't effect your phone. Basically, the phone is constantly searching for 911 towers, which drains your battery. When you dial 911, it automatically turns this option back on. If this doesn't help, I would recommend buying a new battery. There is an option where you can buy an extended battery, but that will make the phone a little thicker. If you bought the phones through Sprint and it has been less than thirty days, you can bring the phone back to the store where you purchased it, and they can give you a new phone. You could also try going to a store that services phones to see if they can fix it. Hope this helps.
