I was just complaining about this the other day...
Yeah, I am sick that every single thing has to be a crappy animated film. I do like some but most of them just suck. I miss the good ol days when Disney movies were awesomely drawn cartoons with cute stories.
I have no idea what happened... Everyone just started to like dumb garbage. Nothing on TV is the same anymore either:
Cartoons: Instead of cartoonists taking their time to draw a good looking character, they just slap ugly sketches together and call it a job well done. And all the episodes are so obnoxious that they're not even funny!
Sitcoms: What happened to all the cool sitcoms? They're nonexistent nowadays... Now all we have is reality show after reality show!
Little kid shows: When I was a little kid I remember watching some cool cartoons, like "David the Gnome". The stories may be boring for an adult but it always kept me and my friends entertained. Kids today don't have shows like "David the Gnome" but instead only have shows where the characters look and act like they were made for someone completely brainless! And why does every single thing have to be about learning something? Why isn't it ever just an interesting story, just something for entertainment?
What is the world coming too?!!

Most movies suck, that is why you don't have to see them all.
Animated movies give you way more entertainment value (IMO) than typical romatic comedies or so-called dramas.
A typical hollywoood movie is shot in 4-12 weeks then cropped and editted in a like amount of time. Very little effort is put into them compared to an animated movie. Cast members routinely ad-lib and directors routinely "experiment" with lens, filters and camera angles on set or on location. They often "wing" it.
The typical animated movie from Pixar or Dreamworks is 4-6 years in the making. These people try hard to write funny or otherwise engaging plots. Every virtual movement of the camera, every emotion, every nuance is planned and executed meticulously. And as a result, millions of family members and even a few childless adults are entertained. Animation may not be your cup of tea, but few live action movies hold up under repeated viewings whether they are family movies or not. And those that do, are not slapped together ad-libs.

Computer animated films are generally cheaper to make and can be made faster than traditional cel animated films. Disney is going to a strictly computer animated format the best cel animated films out now are from Japan and Europe.
In Japan cartoons are seen as a serious art form so you can usually find a wide variety of anime films that appeal to most everyone the same is true with Europe look at The Grave of the Fireflies from Japan which is said to be capable of moving anyone to tears or the Triplets of Belleville for something that will have you questioning your own reality check out Paranoia Agent.
I recommend getting a Netflix membership and carousing through their library of animation. Despite what Disney says Snow White was NOT the first full length animated film that was Germany's The Adventures of Prince Achmed is an animated silent film from 1926 using color cels and cut out silhouette puppets.

No, I am not sick of animated films. The reason they are using computer technology to make Animated film is that is so much cheaper than the old method and less time consuming. You know how long it took to make a movie in the old days, too long and there were no technology that many directors wanted to put special effects into the movie which was hard to do in the old days. Time cost money or time is money.

Disney movies like the lion king are great but I like the newer stuff too, I did not like Over the Hedge thought it was boring and unfunny, there are older Disney movies that I hate too.. Hunch Back of Notre Dame!! So I don't think it matters if it is animated or computer graphics.

Nope, i'm not sick of them. i like them too. I thought Ice Age was very cute. BUT i do love the old ones better. Lion King, Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Bambi. I love them all. And i don't know if its because i am bias because i grew up with them, or if it because they actually have a better story along with them. Because they were more focused on the story back then, rather than the picture, and how it looks. I don't know. But i will forever love the animated films, new or old.

I don't know, I sort of love them. There are some good ones like Shrek, Toy Story, Monsters Inc and Ice Age. But there are a few (The Wild, Open Season) that should have just stayed on the cutting room floor. Its really just another excuse to have ensemble casts in the project. Voice overs are easy because the actors don't have to do any acting with the other actors. They can just read their lines and go. Movie Magic!

I do extremely agree. i think of video clips are extra centred on the particular outcomes extremely than the performing and the plot. i think like almost each and every action picture made in recent times is eager to be in 3-D. i'm specific sooner or later, each and every action picture would be in 3-D, consistent with possibility even 4-D or something like that. yet I do love going to work out 3-D video clips, usually merely of action pictures who've somewhat sturdy portraits, although. recent video clips like Alice in Wonderland and Toy tale 3 would not have been made in 3-D. yet action pictures like Avatar are made to be in 3-D, so those are the only varieties i bypass to. I do stay in a fantastically small city, so I could want tochronic for miles just to work out a great 3-D action picture, and Avatar became into the 1st somewhat sturdy IMAX 3-D action picture i've got seen. i've got seen others in commonly used 3-D, yet they do exactly in no way somewhat amaze me with the aid of fact they the two weren't filmed with 3-D cameras or did not have sturdy sufficient portraits. yet I do could desire to admit that i'm particularly excited approximately how some distance we are able to bypass with the action picture industry, particularly with the hot approaches wherein the action pictures are provided.
