discrimination only led to it both, Read your history book, the upper class has discriminated against lower class and etc, then as one class raises they choose another class to look down upon. (it has even happen in the africa tribes, hence they sold there prisoners as slaves and some idiotic people around the world purchased, not only in america but all over) most lands was own by foreign settlers at that point. Where the americans indians was also taken and sold into slavery and some do not know how there kind ended up in foreign lands just know some ancestors was taken as prisoners and slave.
Slaves are not cool! (for any race or any person)
Back to the new discrimination. (gays is the group begging for accepatance, do you think they chose discrimination)

In terms of slavery throughout history, I think slavery came before racism; older examples of slavery (e.g. roman times) didn't involve racism because slavery was not race-specific. Modern slavery that targeted a particular race required racism to exist first.

Racism came first because it led to slavery. The whites thinking that they were superior because of their color and way of life, decided to make Africans into slaves.

given which you're asking specifically approximately slavery interior the context of colonialism (something maximum respondents have neglected), it would would desire to be racism that replaced into first. As somebody else reported, thinking much less of others as human beings first of all. Hell, whilst the British colonised Australia, many did no longer think of of Aborigines as human beings for the main area, they have been only inconvenient organic international.

Slavery. There has been slavery before people know about other races. Before people discoverd otehr groups of people, they had slavery in there own groups. African tribes would enslave one another, as well as in Asia and in Europe.
