Why would you waste a Third-round pick to a wonderful back like T.J. Duckett and dont even use him. I mean he has everything a true back should have speed, and the strength to break tackles. Some say that because hes gonna be a free agent at the end of the season Joe Gibbs doesnt want to play him to raise his Free Agent status, because if Joe plays him then other teams will follow and want to sign him if he does well on the field. But i dont think thats the problem, last week he had 2 rushes for 16 yards if he were on pace and got about 20 rushes he would have broken the 100 yard barrier easily and atleast have gotten a touch own. So i just wanna know why do u think the Redskins dont want to use T.J. Duckett?

Good queston, TJ is a very-good player and like Chris Perry of the Bengals they both get overshawoed by the teams premire RB. If you remember, The Readskins traded Champ Bailey and a second round pick to get Clinton Portis and if they don't use him and just use TJ than they feel like dumbasses for giving a pro bowler for a second round worthless RB, sure he can rush for a 1,000yds. but I doubt Portis well ever rush for 1620Yds and have like 20 TDs.

I think they got scared in the preaseason when Portis went down. I don't think the coaching staff had enough faith in Betts and wanted to get an insurance policy. Lo and behold, while Portis is down, Betts plays decent and Duckett doesn't quite live up to expectations. So when Portis came back, Betts was solidified as his backup and Duckett was the odd man out. He should get an opportunity to contribute now with Portis's latest injury, but he needs to try to do better than he did with his first opportunity.

t.j. duckett will see more action now that clinton portis is hurt again he'll share the responsibility with ladell betts the reason why he hasn't been used much

I think that they are just being stupid. Like you said, he is a good RB. I just don't get why they don't use him.
