My boyfriend of 2-1/2 years has been divorced for over 10 years. He takes care of everything for his ex-wife (she has a boyfriend that's 10 years younger than her) and she calls him for advice about everything. They have 3 teenage girls. He let her move in with him when her apartment lease expired and lied to me about it. He then helped her look for a house and scheduled all the arrangements for her to buy it. He took me to the mountains and scheduled for his "family" to go to the mountains the same weekend. At his father's funeral, she sat on the front row with the family. When he had too much to drink one night, he told me he loved her, that all her past boyfriends were stupid and that he had been having relations with her. He then denied that he said it and said he always says stupid stuff while drinking. I told him I thought they had a "have your cake and eat it too" relationship. I'm thinking I should see the handwriting on the wall?

Sweetie, you know the answer to this one.

Don't ignore the obvious, nor your inner voice.

Sorry it's going this way. And you know what they say about alcohol, it's liquid truth.

You deserve someone who will treat you with respect and not be such an a s s and be so selfish.

Good luck.

When I first started reading your problem, I thought it was just a nice thing he was doing since he IS the father of her kids but while I read on, I realized maybe he's still in love with her. It could be he wants to work it out for the kid's sake. I know when a person is drunk, they tend to tell the truth. I've had this happen to me before but yet I too denied it the next morning. Alcohol brings out the true person in them. Good luck.

Yes I believe he either hasn't given her up or wants to give her up and until anything is final she will be there always. He may care about you but.......he still cares and has feelings for her also and with 3 daughters also puts him closer to her. You need to step back and be alone and see where he wants to go I feel you should move on cuz looks like he isn't making any changes for you in his life.

I think there is more than the hand writing on the wall. I think the wall will soon come tumbling down and if you are not careful it is going to come falling down on you.
I personally think you should watch out.

It sounds as if he's still in love with her. Blaming being drunk when he said that is just an excuse. People tend to lose their inhibitions when drunk.

I would say that it's time for you to start reading that handwriting.

Girlfriend, if you can't see the writing on the wall, you better get some glasses. All I can say is run, run, run........get out of Dodge. He is a liar and a cheat. Spare your heart and get out of that relationship. I think he is making a total fool of you.........GO GIRL

I'm thinking you're developing good vision. Lose the loser. Get a guy who wants to be with you. There's lots of 'em out there!

God forbids ....that is the handwriting on the wall ...you better leave him alone ...confess your sin for God forgives a truthful confessor....then look for one whom you will not sin with ...start afresh ...have a family ...serve God ...and this is life in its fulness ...have a go on it ..God Bless

You're thinking right. A drunk man speaks a sober mind.
