I purchased a watch that was received not as described. The crystal and band were scratched, although the item was listed as new and had no mention of the defects. I have escalated to a claim through paypal. Just wondering if anyone knew of any other options I make take if this does not work.

Unfortunately, theres not really any other way if your claim is not awarded to you. The cost is likely too small to take to small claims court. I recently had to make a claim in paypal for an unrecieved purchase. The seller did not respond in time, and they took all the cash they had in their PayPal account, and waited for them to post more, and I just got my full refund on Friday. It is a long process if they do not log in frequently.
However, if PayPal decides against you, I would post an entry to ripoffreport.com it is free and people search it daily. Just be clear and honest in your report, state the persons user name in eBay and PayPal, and what happened. Good luck

If you purchased through Pay Pal there is always buyer's protection, they will refund your money, taking it from the seller's account, at least that has been my experience. If you did not purchase from Pay Pal, go directly to eBay. I think they have a similar service, but am not sure. You have 60 days as the limit for reporting bad merchandise but do it now. This watch was made from old parts most likely. My jeweler told me that when I took 2 watch for batteries. Get to eBay!!
