Try listening to Seether. When I heard "The Gift" on the radio it blew me away. And they came to where I live at a bar place and blew me even more. I was really impressed with the live performance and sound quality of the band songs. Then I bought the album and the whole album was so good I ended up listening to it like a million times and the sound quality of the CD was way better than all the CD's I have of other bands that I own.

Panic! At The Disco is probably one of the best most recent bands in terms of rock music also The Killers are quite good
