if i swap my stock d16 head on my civic 98 automatic, would i have to do any thing else other than bolt it on and time it. I'm refering to ecu tunning or other stuff as such. and finally has anyone done this swap in an automatic is it worth it.

the cams i belive are of a different lobe due to it being an automatic. To the question is it worth it? well if the valves are gone sure, other wise if its for performance....well its an automatic.

If you stock engine is Vtec then you dont have to do anything. If its not then you will need an ecu perferably from that engine type you are bolting on to your block. Aditionally you will need to add a few cables to your wiring harness or get a harness from that Vtec Head you want to put in.

It should work just make sure everything lines up and fits take real careful measurements...best of luck
