1. Rudy Guliani
2. Mitt Romney
3. John McCain.
McCain actually flip flops too much. He is not much of a Republican either. He votes with polls. I don't know much about Mitt Romney, but I love Rudy G.
Who else would I like to see throw their hat into the ring?
A long shot...Bill Frist. I know it will never happen.
Condi Rice ???
George Allen, even though he couldn't win in VA. He's a good man. I like him. It was close with Webb though.

It appears you have them in the right order already. We need a strong person with military background such as McCain in these times. He supports putting more boots on the ground in Iraq - Something the generals have been saying for some time now. It's the only reasonable solution to this problem. A McCain Powell ticket would be very appealing to me.

At the risk of being kicked out of the GOP, and having my magic decoder ring taken away from me, I would like to see Bill Richardson, the Democratic governor from New Mexico get involved. While I would not change my party affiliation, I would seriously consider assisting his campaign, and would have a seriously tough decision as to whether vote for him or John McCain.

Giuliani would be your best choice and could win the general election, but because Republicans have let the religious right take over the party, he could never win the nomination because he supports gay rights and is pro choice.
McCain is also a good choice, but the right wingers like Rush have been bad mouthing him for the past 7 years, I don;t see how he could win the nomination either.
Romney might be able to win the nomination, but I can't see him winning the general election.
It appears the Republicans have screwed themselves for 2008.

Of those 3 I would take Rudi. I don't know much about Romney.
I'm sure there will be plenty more.

My questions for #s 1, 2, 3, and whoever else, ......
What kind of Supreme Court Justices would you appoint? Do you think the SC's Bush v. Gore decision was legitimate, ... or was it a total fiasco?
