Everybody is right so far, but they forgot to add that he is also denser than normal. He will not float in water, and he needs a degree of super strength just to move around normally, he weighs about four hundred pounds, in a body that looks under two hundred. That is part of what makes him so damage resistant. Refer to the issue where Senor Suerte traps Luke Cage in a tunnel that is being flooded. Once Luke breaks his chains, he must walk out not swim out, because he is too heavey to swim.

As I recall the story of Luke Cage aka. Power Man, he has increased strentgth and resistance to injury. His skin is hard as steel and resistant to MOST penetration woounds, including all edged weapons and most firearms. His strength is also enhanced to be several times greater than a normal person.

Luke Cage's Skin is impervious to penetration, to a degree, and he has super strength. It seems to me that Rage may be an incarnation of Luke Cage, but i am probably mistaken

Cage has invulnerable skin and enhanced strength from an experiment performed on him at Blackgate Prison, he is also street smart and very determined.
