I have been looking at studies on how the phase of the moon affects people. Half say the moon makes no difference at all while the other half says that the moon's phases make a huge difference.
I am very interested in your opinions and experiences. Please don't direct me to any websites.

I know that statistically, ER's are much busier on full moon nights. I used to play in a club band and it seemed like there were more fights and craziness on full moon nights.

I work in retail and come in contact with many people every day. I can usually tell when it is a full moon just by the way people are acting. It definately either brings out all the crazies or brings out the crazies in everyone!! Wish I could remember a specific example, I have racked my brain and have nothing. Sorry. But I definately believe in full moon crazies.

I don't know if its true or not, but my mom always talked about how the moon had an effect on the Crazy's. I think she was talking about all the people in her AA and NA classes. She is kind of superstitious. How this all ties together I really don't know. What I do know is the word Lunatic obviously comes from Luna which is obviously another name for the Moon.

This subject has been debated and I have heard the arguments on both sides. I must believe since 1) The term 'lunatic' was formed from the observations long ago - the term lune=moon. It was associated with the radical behavior of many people, predictably, for hundreds of years. 2) In college, I was convinced by my medical teachers that this, though not explainable, is a provable fact. They told us to go to any ER on the night of a full moon and see for ourselves. 3) Nursing homes, hospitals, institutions of many kinds regularly see this phenomenon demonstrated by their patients/residents on nights of a full moon.

I've always been one who tends to think on the side of science; there is no proof in science, but the phenomenon continues!

Very good question!
