You should keep immaculate records of everything. Specifically, keep a journal where you record any and all instances of possible sexual harassment.
With the required compliments regarding your supervisor's appearance, you will definitely have a case. You need to establish on the record that you have objected to the behavior and asked that it stop, however. Tell her directly that her request makes you uncomfortable, and then follow up with an email. Print that email, and keep it in your records.
Remember that you need to be able to prove anything you allege. Otherwise, she will just say things didn't happen, and if there's no proof, then there's no case.
Hopefully, she will stop the behavior when you ask her to, but if she doesn't, you should contact the EEOC. See http://www.eeoc.gov for full information about filing a complaint. Try to resolve the issue internally first though in good faith by asking that the behavior stop. If it doesn't, that's when you go external and file a complaint.
Regarding the farting, I don't think that's anything really. It's unpleasant, but you don't have the right to a fart-free environment, you know? Try keeping an air freshener at your workstation, or maybe you could have a fan there.

I think you're in a position to possibly get her for sexual harrasment but like someone said below ~ document everything!!! Even conversations (especially after the confrontation). Another thing you could do is email her a "reaction" to your meeting and put in your views. Knowing her she certainly will take the bait and blast you with something inappropriate and walla! You will have the beginning of something in writing. Also ~ don't let your emotions get in the way on this one ~ stay focused, don't let her get the best of you and keep everything she says, does, asks in some sort of file for your future use! I doubt if it's a "true" sexual harassment case at this point but feel it could very well be .... Hang in there and keep the air freshener handy! What a slob!

First off this guy didn't ruin anything of yours. You let him ruin things. I agree that a person has a right to a safe workplace. Investigations take time to get things in order. It sounds as though management did what they could, legally, remember the other person has rights too. Im not taking his side, merely making points. You seem like a strong educated woman, don't let this guy get to you. Keep moving towards your goals. There will always be people like this in any job you get. That doesn't mean we cant do anything about it. You did what you could. Send the letter where it needs to go. If there was wrongdoing by the management, maybe this will be the push they need to make things right. Good luck

If she tells you that you have to compliment her that is sexual harassment, but you have to tell her once that saying that makes you uncomfortable or whatever. Establish that you don't want to play. The next time she says something...that is harassment.
Same with the hostile working environment. Tell her it isn't appropriate or makes you uncomfortable. The next time she does it, you got her.
I'm in government in another state and this is the rules we were told to follow. Don't put up with her crap or she may keep pushing and get worse and worse!!

Is she attractive? I bet not. ...and the passing wind? VERRRRY unattractive, indeed !
Tell her that your Mom and Dad taught you to "always speak the truth", and that if you had nothing nice to say, then don't say anything.
Next time she "farts" in your vicinity, ask in an AUDIBLE VOICE "WHO CUT THE CHEESE? " I'm sure she'll stop.
Seriously, tho, she, too, has a Boss or supervisor, right? The next time you see that person, quietly let them know that you are being subjected to this and wish to be transferred, as it is affecting your ability to produce good work results (or words to that effect).

You're kidding, right? It is a hostile work environment and it is illegal. You should report her.

I'd talk to a professional usually they have a first consultation for free and advise u where to go from there. Personally I think u have a fighting chance to have her fired for infringing on ur rights, not to mention she's a pig, obviously she's no lady.
