I just got done crying really hard...I haven't cried this hard since I was a little kid...I was talking to my girlfriend and reopened some scars I wish I never had to reopen...I talked to her about my pet that I was really close with and how I just woke up the next morning to find her dead...I felt so sad and started crying when I told her about the dream I had with my departed pet for one night...I then started crying and she showed me a video of where pets go when they die which made me cry even harder...I felt my upper teeth go numb...then my chin...then my cheecks...then soon my head felt tingly and I began to feel dizzy...is this normal? By the way on a scale of 1 to 10 of crying intensity it was a 10

I too have always been able to cry at the drop of a hat. It can be so embarrassing at times. What helped me was to do a simple exercise. Wait for the next time you start to cry, such as during a really sad movie, and then tell yourself to STOP! Focus on using your will-power to stop crying. If you need to, focus on a happy thought or...whatever. Just make yourself stop crying. Do this exercise as often as you can. Your positive reward will be your new self-control.

You felt depressed over your pet dying and you had an anxiety attack. It is normal to feel depressed over and grieve. Your girl friend doesn't sound very good for your emotional state to show you a video that caused you to have an anxiety attack. I think, you need to look for someone more compassionate than her for goodness sake. Why would she do that to you? It sounds cruel.

Crying is very healthy and it is obvious that you need closure with your pet. I am guessing you didn't and maybe still don't know why or how your pet died. This maybe just what you needed, if anything it should bring you and your girlfriend closer.

Maybe your pet reminded you of a person, maybe you had a little to drink. Its no shame to show emotion
