I have a interview tomorrow at a restaurant..I applied for a server. I've never done this type of work before so I'm wondering what type of questions are mostly asked for this position. Well I think I would be a good fit for this position because I can do a lot of things at the same time and still stay organized. And I can work pretty well while I'm under a lot of pressure. Do you think that is good? So please give me some lists of questions that might be asked like examples of things that are good to say. Thanks

If you applied for a server good comunication skills are important. If your good at working under pressure that will be a good thing if you have to deal with patron who might give you a hard time. I think you will do ok. Just be yourself and relax when you arrive. Also mention some of the things you just typed to us to the person who is interviewing you tomorrow. From what i'm reading here i would have you start right away. For a couple of hrs though. Just so you can get the feel of the place and its surroundings. I think everyone should have the chance to try something new even if they find out the job was not for them.
Good luck

I am sure they will ask how you get along with others in Management, Co Workers and customers and also how well you handle stress, or questions about stress. Those are the two places people really make it or o not make it in the resturant business, so I believe they really focus on those 2 areas. Good Luck!!

Do you have previous experience in waitressing?
What experiences do you have that you feel you can relate to the job? (Think of house work, math skills, and people skills.)
How would you handle an irritable customer?
What does the phrase "customer service" mean to you?
How would you describe your work ethic?
When can you start?

hard to say, because the important ones are more than likely going to be covered, i wouldn't ask about the tips though, that may lead them to belive you will favor big tippers over other clients, and thats a bad trait to have in a server.

Are you sure you want to degrade yourself with a job offering long unsociable hours, poor wages and plenty of verbal and possibly sexual abuse and innuendo. Not to mention no pension or job security.

You will be at the bottom of the heap!

Do yourself a favour and try to miss the appointment.

Be more ambitious in your job search, you deserve it.

Let me guess, the boss is a man......nuff said.

Good luck in being rejected, it is the best thing that could happen to you.
